Being a purposeful leader

The landscape of leadership has changed. We are now in a new and evolving era where people need a different approach to traditional “command and control” management.

Learn what it takes to be a purposeful leader and what opportunities exist for organisations that embrace this approach.

Do you ever find yourself saying “yes” when you really want to say “no”?

Avoiding tough conversations because you don’t want to upset anyone?

Or carrying everyone else’s emotional load at the expense of your own?

If that sounds familiar, this keynote is for you.

Leading as a People Pleaser is a dynamic reframe for leaders who care deeply about their people and team, but often at their own expense.

Leading as a People Pleaser

How to turn your people pleasing tendencies into leadership superpowers

Participants will learn how to lead with empathy without slipping into over-giving, over-accommodating, or overthinking.

Building a Resilient Workforce

The following themes are explored:

• Navigating the challenges of working in a workplace with lots of change

• Building individual resilience to manage that change

• The impact of stress over time

• Strategies to combat stress and burnout

• How to contribute to a positive workplace culture

Navigating conflict

Conflict is a normal part of a health relationship, yet most people shy away from and avoid conversations that may lead to conflict.

Understanding how to recognise and respond to conflict is an important skill, yet many people are uncertain how best to respond when faced with conflict. Learn about the four common types and the strategies needed to respond.

This keynote is highly interactive and designed to evoke contemplation amongst participants. To first consider their own strengths and limitations, but then to consider how this has played a role in different relationships at work and in life.

Participants will leave with an insight into what steps they can take to more effectively communicate with styles they current struggle to find a common understanding with.

The ability to communicate effectively is a core skill required in all aspects of life. but particularly important in a work environment. But have you ever considered your own ability to communicate and taken steps to improve the way you communicate?

Everyone has a default style of communicating. Whilst some styles are aligned, other styles can seem at odds with each other - which can lead to misunderstandings and ultimately, conflict. The impact of conflict can be significant and when left unmanaged, relationships can rupture and become permanently damaged.

Why communication is commonly overlooked
as an essential skill

This keynote is highly interactive and designed to evoke contemplation amongst participants. To first consider their own strengths and limitations, but then to consider how this has played a role in different relationships at work and in life.

Participants will leave with an insight into what steps they can take to be more effective in their communication - especially with communication styles they struggle with the most.

Boundaries & burnout

Participant Outcomes:

  • Examine what boundaries are, how you may (or may not) exercise them in your life, how to establish them, and then how to hold them

  • Burnout – understand what it is, create a self-care management plan for prevention, and

  • how to manage it if you find yourself experiencing burnout
